The best time to for Auli is between Mid Nov – Mid March. It is in these months that Auli receives heavy snowfall and one has good opportunity to enjoy skiing and other winter sports here. Auli is in Chamoli district of Garhwal Region of the state of Uttarakhand. It is a highland pasture and lies at an elevation ranging between 2500 and 3500 metres. The ski slopes in Auli are located at an altitude of 3,048 mts. This beautiful town is situated 16kms from the famed Joshimath. One can either drive to Auli or take a cable car ride.
